Name: Victoria Pakdimounivong
R3 Wound Care Clinic Location(s): Viridian
Tell us a bit about your experience/background: I have been in the medical field for 10 years now. I am certified in Medical Billing and Coding and still assist with billing for different clinics from time to time. I have worked in clinics specializing in Gastroenterology, Holistic Medicine, Urgent Care, and now Wound Care.
How did you get into this field? My uncle was a Gastroenterologist and during the summer when I was a teenager, I used to help him with simple tasks at his clinic. I loved everything about it, the patient interaction, the camaraderie among the staff, the busy administrative tasks. One Christmas, I was complaining about my boring Receptionist job, so my uncle asked me “Why don’t you come work for me?” I turned in my two weeks notice the following Monday and here I am.
What is your favorite part about your job? My favorite part about my job is the interaction with our patients. I enjoy building relationships with them so that they are comfortable coming into our office every day.
Tell us about your family: I got married in July of 2019 to my best friend, Mike and we have two furbabies named Hiro and Lex. I am also part of a family with 42 grandkids so there is never a dull moment in my life.
Favorite hobbies? I love doing outdoor activities with my huge family. I always have a DIY project going on. My husband and I enjoy attending concerts and sporting events, visiting different coffee shops and we love to travel and have many more countries we hope to add to our list.
Favorite movie or show? My favorite movie is Something about Mary and my favorite show is How I Met Your Mother… It’s way better the Friends.
Favorite part about living in the Dallas and/or San Antonio area: My favorite part about Dallas is that there is always an event going on. There is something for everyone, every single day.
